Lisa Becksford is an associate professor and the Head of Learning Design Initiatives in the Teaching & Learning Engagement department at Virginia Tech’s Newman Library. She’s passionate about empowering students to achieve their educational goals and facilitates face-to-face and online learning experiences that help students across the university grow as researchers and scholars. She serves as the librarian for the School of Education as well as the Engineering Education program, and she leads her department’s online learning and instructional design initiatives, including the Odyssey learning object repository.
